The Baton Rouge Area Foundation connects philanthropists with capable nonprofits, and invests in and manages pivotal projects that can change the community. The Foundation improves the quality of life for people across South Louisiana. The Baton Rouge Area Foundation unites human and financial resources to enhance the quality of life in south Louisiana. To achieve our mission, we serve our donors to build the assets that drive initiatives and solutions; engage community leaders to develop appropriate responses to emerging opportunities and challenges; partner with entities from our service area, as well as with other community foundations, in order to leverage our collective resources and create the capacity to be a stimulus of positive regional change; and, evaluate our work and share the results with our stakeholders.

Baton Rouge Area Foundation
The BRAF Civic Leadership Initiatives team, along with local leaders, attended the Children's Funding Institute in Seattle, Washington last week. CFI is a biannual training that equips leaders with the tools and resources needed to garner public support and funding for transformative early childhood education programming. Local experts from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, LAFORCE, YWCA of Greater Baton Rouge, and the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children accompanied BRAF staff for this learning opportunity.
