Our mission is to strengthen families by inspiring courage and confidence to make a lasting change. HopeSparks has strengthened families since 1895. Our experienced counselors and staff are here to help you in your area of need. We provide counseling and education services to address issues including: abuse, divorce, anger management, depression, early childhood development and marriage crisis. We also specialize in Early Childhood Education, Parent training services along with providing vital support to relatives that raise children not theirs by birth. The majority of those we serve come from extremely low income situations and are unable to afford the full cost of the services we provide. The emphasis of our work is with children who are suffering under the weight of physical, emotional and sexual abuses. Additionally, we work with children who are victims of crime, referrals from Child Protective Services and have attachment issues. We are one of the only agencies in Pierce County that therapeutically works with kids as young as 2. HopeSparks focuses on those who are in the most need; individuals and families who are experiencing economic hardships and or are victims of abuse. Our geographic focus reaches into the heart of Tacoma and to all corners of Pierce County. In a time where other nonprofit agencies in our field are shutting their doors, HopeSparks Family Services is taking steps to grow and strengthen its services. Now more that ever, we are able to provide comprehensive support, education, and counseling services to struggling children and the families that love them.
