Finally, the promise I made to Mason is moving closer to fulfillment. Justice is within reach—not only for Mason but also for Jaxon. As the upcoming months unfold, I ask you to keep both of them in your thoughts and prayers. May those responsible for their suffering be held accountable, and may justice be served. I vividly remember the last time I held Mason's hand. He lay there so still, and I gently rubbed his chest, holding his right hand in mine. In that moment, I made him a solemn promise: that I would seek justice for him, no matter how long it took, and ensure that those who caused him harm would be held accountable. Before his coffin closed, I placed his beloved Mater in one hand, Buzz Lightyear in the other, and tucked in my black Yankees hat—the one he used to snatch off my head and run around the house with. That promise has never left my heart, and I carry it with me every day. I hope and pray that this chapter brings the closure we've all been longing for.
