Greater Denver CARES- The Rising is a school-based wellness program that provides culturally relevant trauma healing and socio-emotional development through facilitated Wellness Circles. At Greater Denver CARES, we are a movement dedicated to empowering Black youth in Denver by providing culturally anchored mental wellness resources and academic support. Through our flagship programs, "The Rising" and "The Baldwin Literacy Project," we address the specific challenges faced by our community, transforming pain into power, and illuminating the path to knowledge with representation. We stand at the forefront of community engagement, partnering with organizations like Denver Public Schools and Moyo Healing Arts, to ensure our youth soar to new heights of mental well-being and educational excellence. Our vision is clear, our roots are deep, and our journey forward is charged with the promise of progress and the unwavering spirit of resilience.

WHATWE DO Greater Denver CARES is deeply committed to enhancing the mental health and literacy of BIPOC youth in Denver through our flagship initiatives The Rising Program and The Baldwin Literacy Project. The Rising Program Focuses on establishing Afrocentric wellness circles in schools facilitated by a CAREStrained facilitator and a licensed therapist of color.
