
Young American Sailing Academy (YASA)
A group of Junior sailors aged between 14-23 with a track record at competing in local and regional big boat races. In 2018 our big race will the the Newport to Bermuda race starting on June 15th. THE YOUNG AMERICAN SAILING ACADEMY (YASA) IS WHERE, THROUGH THE RIGORS OF OFFSHORE SAILING, YOUNG SAILORS DEVELOP INTO SKILLED AND HIGHLY CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS WITH ROBUST CHARACTER. YASA IS A 501(C)(3) NOT-FOR-PROFIT PUBLIC CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION WHOSE VISION IS TO EDUCATE AND DEVELOP A NEW GENERATION OF USA BASED OFFSHORE SAILORS. YASA'S MULTIPLE PROGRAMS ARE GEARED TO BRINGING OFFSHORE SAILING SKILLS TO AS MANY YOUNG CORINTHIAN SAILORS AS POSSIBLE AS WELL AS DEVELOPING STRONG FEMALE LEADERS.
