Darcy Akers Scholarship Program Overview The Darcy Akers Scholarship Fund Inc. the Fund was established by members of the Rotary Club of Ormond Beach in 1988 after the tragic death of a members daughter. The Fund is a charitable entity organized under section 501c3 of the IRS tax code. The Funds sole purpose is to provide scholarships to deserving local students in an effort to assist their postsecondary educational pursuits.
