They are people who have experienced the intersectionality of sexism, racism, violence, sexual abuse, incarceration, historical oppression, and persistent poverty.

In addition to its efforts to heal individuals and the larger community ALPOL empowers its base to end the criminal justice systems cycle of systemic trauma. The Restoration of Self Restoration of Self is central to ALPOLs approach to transformative change.
