A Little Piece of Light organization exists to end the criminalization of women and girls. A Little Piece of Light Inc is a 501 (c) 3 women-led organization, a comprehensive support center for women, girls, and gender-fluid individuals who are directly impacted by trauma and involvement in the criminal justice system. They are people who have experienced the intersectionality of sexism, racism, violence, sexual abuse, incarceration, historical oppression, and persistent poverty.

In addition to its efforts to heal individuals and the larger community ALPOL empowers its base to end the criminal justice systems cycle of systemic trauma. The Restoration of Self Restoration of Self is central to ALPOLs approach to transformative change. ALPOL offers safe spaces and delivers appropriately informed evidencebased programs to individuals seeking to develop their own life skills healing strategies and personal agency.
