Haven's Harvest Recovered food is a community resource Our mission is to build community and reduce food waste one food rescue at a time. Our Impact 400 volunteers Our work is supported by a growing network of volunteers that pick up food from donating sites and deliver it to receiving sites in the Greater New Haven area Lower Naugatuck Valley and New London regions. 549 Receiving sites Our receiving sites include daycare centers senior centers schools subsidized housing sites clinics faith communities and other nonprofit organizations. Over 9 million Pounds of Food Recovered In 2024 alone this food that has been retained in our communities is valued at 43913220.
