Providing The Right Boots for Rookie Wildland Firefighters Will Hawkins Rookie Boots Fund’s mission is to reduce barriers to entry in the Wildland Firefighting occupation and improve the safety, comfort, health and financial position of new and returning seasonal firefighters by providing assistance in the purchase of boots needed to fight wildland fires. The Vision is to provide all first year rookie wildland firefighters their first pair of high quality boots.
