THYPI About It all started when In 1996 Tulsa Oklahoma faced significant challenges related to drugs teen pregnancy and gang violence. The city struggled with the rampant use of crack cocaine and methamphetamine which fueled crime and poverty. Teen pregnancy rates were high due to limited access to sex education and healthcare. Gang activity influenced by national groups like the Bloods and Crips led to increased violence.
