A nonprofit organization focused on providing conferences and professional development sessions focused on the recruitment and retention of music educators of color. The Table Music Education Corporation is a 501c3 organization founded by Angelica Brooks to address the recruitment and retention of music educators of color as an act of social justice. We provide professional learning opportunities, such as our annual conference, for academic professors, music program leaders, and music education teacher mentors to discuss the issue of social and educational justice through examining the methods by which music educators of color are recruited and how we can better assist in their retention in the field through sustainable best practices.
