The Timpanogos Emergency Response Team (TERT) was organized in 1983 to assist hikers and climbers on Mt. Timpanogos. TERT is an all-volunteer group. The Timpanogos Emergency Response Team (TERT) was organized in 1983 to assist hikers and climbers on Mt. Timpanogos. The Aims and Objectives of TERT are and shall be: 1. To work with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office and the US Forest Service in providing emergency first responder services in the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness Area in Utah County, the State of Utah. 2. To provide educational services and preventive measures to improve the safety of the general public and the preservation of natural resources while visiting Timpanogos. 3. To coordinate with local search and rescue units, first responders, law enforcement, emergency communication organizations, and other groups as furthers these Aims and Objectives. 4. To associate together in meetings, gatherings, and in the field for the promotion of training and good fellowship.
