People of the Confluence

Empowering Indigenous youth & families, promoting cultural revitalization & environmental stewardship, cultivating TEK with immersive cultural experiences. Guided by values of Respect Wisdom, Generosity, & Courage, safeguarding Water Air Earth, & Spirit the mission of People of the Confluence is to provide educational and cultural opportunities that will empower Indigenous youth to protect the water, air, earth and spirit of the Skykomish and Snohomish watersheds from the mountain tops to the Salish Sea. People of the Confluence supports and works with urban and non-urban Indigenous youth who may or may not live on or near their traditional territory by offering opportunities to connect with Elders and knowledge keepers through educational programs designed to develop cultural competency and rehydrate their spirits. Further, People of the Confluence engages in inter-Tribal partnerships and Indigenous youth cultural exchange programs with the Oglala Lakota of White Horse Creek and other Indigenous peoples throughout Indian Country.
