Casper Community Recreation Foundation Casper Community Recreation Foundation About Us Our Mission The purpose and mission of the corporation shall be to work handinhand with the Casper Recreation Division to provide funding for free or affordable recreation programs for people of all ages to help insure their mental and physical wellbeing. Our History Between 1945 and 1982 delivery of recreation services in Casper was administered by a nonprofit agency known as the Casper Recreation Association later as Casper Youth Recreation and from 1949 to 1982 as Community Recreation Inc. In 1982 with the opening of the new Casper Recreation Center it was evident that the City of Caspers investment in the administration of public recreation would increase significantly. It was at this time the City of Casper Parks and Recreation Department was formed and Community Recreation Inc became the Community Recreation Foundation.
