Colectiva Feminista Colibri
Queremos generar cambios en nuestro entorno social mediante espacios educativos y artísticos. We are a Houston-based group of Spanish-speaking artists – women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people – who recognize and unify our diverse feminisms. We work collectively to construct and re-/deconstruct spaces that promote gender equality, la sororidad, and women’s active participation in various social contexts. Our Collective engages in this struggle so women artists and creators can exist in environments of equity, respect, and safety where we can maximally develop our capacities for personal, communal, and social growth. Our mission is to generate changes in our social structures through educational and artistic spaces that foster debate and political activism from a feminist point of view.
