About us The African Hornbill Conservation Alliance was established as the USbased fundraising arm of Mabula Ground Hornbill Project to support various African hornbill conservation projects primarily focusing on groundhornbills. The AHCA was created when the IUCN SSC Hornbill Specialist Group highlighted the large gap in basic knowledge of biology and conservation status and conservation action for many of Africas hornbill species. The Alliance team bring a multidisciplinary strength to ensuring that the plight of African hornbills is known and actionsupported. Working towards the common goal of protecting African hornbills through collaboration with incountry conservation organisations that focus on hornbill conservation.
