Breaking Taboo aims to Educate, Inspire, Create, and Transform. Breaking Taboo’s mission is to break the taboo surrounding mental health and suicide prevention while providing accessible, practical, and digestible education and vital lifesaving tools to the general public by utilizing contemporary methods as listed below, which ultimately leads to generating help and saving lives. We focus on the root cause: The taboo surrounding mental health, and from there, implement strategies to change the way mental health is viewed, taught, spoken about, digested, and accepted. Through the provision of resources and distribution of information, Breaking Taboo aims to educate, prevent, change, and inspire, so that people can proactively get the help they need before it is too late.
