Double Trellis Food Initiative dignified food for all 135000 meals produced since 2020 According to Feeding America 17 or almost 270000 Philadelphians experience food insecurity daily. Due to the lack of quality food resources within foodinsecure neighborhoods residents will see direct negative health effects including decreased energy levels reduced immunity disrupted sleep quality affected moods and increased risk of memory problems. The Problem The solution Creating healthy and sustainable meals from raw ingredients filled with protein fresh vegetables and other key ingredients that are beneficial to the human body. Working with Community Partners like community refrigerators reentry programs harm reduction programs and food waste organizations to supply prepared meals cooked and prepared by trained chefs and trained volunteers free of cost.
