West County Mandarin School is a TK-8 public (not charter) IB school in the WCCUSD. We are the parent teacher association of West County Mandarin School-a new Mandarin-immersion public elementary school in the West Contra Costa Unified School District. Our mission is to educate the whole child with the 21st Century skills to thrive in a globally connected world. We are diverse by design. 50% of our students are low income/foster youth/English learners. As the most ethnically and socio-economically diverse school in the district, we believe language skills and quality education are key to closing the achievement gap. The WCMS community is bonded by the desire to provide a quality, multilingual education that prepares our students to become critical thinkers and leaders.
