5 years. Feels like the last time we talked was yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time. Your family and friends sure miss you and your oldest nephew talks about you a lot. It ain’t the same without you and I’m sure glad I found this saying about you from one of your lifelong friends. Since you’ve passed away 5 years ago, over 400,000 others in America have passed away due to accidental overdose/poisoning from fentanyl and other drugs. Love you always. (fb)

Over 20 million Americans suffer from a substance use disorder. Less than 10 of the people will ever get medical help. For far too long the stigma and shame around addiction keeps people with a substance use disorder in the darkness suffering from a chronic disease that can be treated.
