Kendall Whittier Incorporated is a home-grown community organization incorporating self-sufficiency for our neighbors through food security, nutritional health, and well-being.Kendall Whittier, Inc.'s (KWI) 5 part-time staff and volunteers work alongside local residents and other community leaders to provide better quality of life for the families and individuals of one of the most economically disadvantaged neighborhoods in Tulsa, Oklahoma. KWI provides the following program services: Emergency Food Pantry, community GROW Teaching Garden (Gardening to Reach Out and Welcome), community Tipton Garden and Partners in Education to Kendall-Whittier Elementary School. Through these services KWI is tangibly building neighborhood pride and cohesiveness, reducing the effects of poverty, improving educational outcomes and paving the way for responsible and sustainable economic development in the Kendall Whittier community.
