Ft Colville Gun Club

The Ft Colville Gun Club is a nonprofit organization that operates in Colville, Washington. It is registered as a 501(c) public charity, focusing on promoting shooting sports and safety.

Facilities

Programs and Activities

• Local 4-H Club Participation: Collaborates with the 4-H organization to involve youth in shooting sports.
• Shooting Stars Program: Offers educational programs for youth in grades 5th through 12th.
• USA Youth Education in Shooting Sports (USAYESS): Provides youth education in shooting sports, emphasizing safety and skill development.
• FFA Shooting Programs: Partners with local high schools to integrate shooting sports into the Future Farmers of America curriculum.
• Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (WDFW) Hunter Education Courses: Offers courses to educate hunters about safety and ethics.

Membership and Public Access

Members have unlimited access to facilities within operating hours. Non-members can also use the ranges, subject to certain restrictions and fees. The club offers orientation sessions for new members and requires a Range Safety Officer to be present when non-members are using the facilities.

Community Involvement

The Ft Colville Gun Club is involved in raising awareness about hunting-related issues, such as Chronic Wasting Disease in local wildlife. It also participates in various events throughout the year, including themed shoots like the Christmas Cash Shoot.

The club is affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program and collaborates with other shooting sports organizations to promote safe and responsible shooting practices.
