KGSA FOUNDATION
Educate. Inspire. Empower. The KGSA Foundation partners with the Kibera Girls Soccer Academy (KGSA) to provide a free, holistic secondary school education to 130 girls annually in Kibera, Nairobi β the largest informal settlement in Africa. KGSAβs model cares for the whole girl - academics, extra-curricular activities, nutrition, healthcare, mentorship programs, and college scholarships. KGSA unlocks potential, expands opportunities, and enables each girl with the ability to shape her future. We believe that local problems need local solutions and harness the power of the #girleffect to create a stronger, more resilient Kibera. Since 2006, KGSA has graduated over 340 girls including 60 who have pursued higher education such as Asha Jaffar, a journalist and activist featured in the New York Times.
