Ishida Dance Company, Inc.
Ishida Dance is a new world-class performing arts company featuring nationally venerated dancers in Ishida Dance Company aims to present works by up-and-coming choreographers through a mixed repertory consisting of world class contemporary dance performances that invite self-reflection and encourage communal regard by prompting existential questions. Choreographers and composers will premiere new works as well as past works that have never been performed for audiences in Austin, Texas. As the Company becomes more established, it will tour nationwide and internationally. Ishida Dance also provides free educational outreach performances and workshops to at-risk youth and marginalized communities to cultivate and enrich appreciation for contemporary dance and to provide interactive audience engagement opportunities with the art form that nurture spatial and body awareness, self-esteem.
