The ICPC Foundation advances the art, science and sport of competitive programming for the benefit of society. The ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest operates under the auspices of the ICPC Foundation. In operation for over 40 years, the ICPC offers universities and students the opportunity to pursue excellence in problem solving. Over 3,100 universities and 50,000 students from 111 countries on six continents compete in annual regional contests that advance to the ICPC World Finals. The ICPC Foundation also advocates for programs that provide outreach to the underserved, a middle tier of championships in the ICPC, bringing together ICPC alumni, and bringing together students from diverse cultures who wish to be problem solvers.

ICPC Foundation | ICPC Foundation advancing the art and science of competitive programming ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest The ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest traces its roots to a competition held at Texas AM in 1970 hosted by the Alpha Chapter of the UPE Computer Science Honor Society with the first Finals held in 1977. In the past 20 years the ICPC community has spread across the globe with annual participations at levels reaching 10000 volunteers and over 5000 coaches with 60000 team members representing 3450 universities in 111 countries. Even during several years of the COVID pandemic annual participation continued above 49000 team members from 2640 universities in 93 countries. The 400000 ICPC alumni are engaged in all sectors of industry business and community service.
