Virginia Blasters – Youth Travel Baseball BLASTERS WELCOME TO Blaster STORY About Us Established in 1992 by Marvin Towny Townsend also known as Coach T the Blasters were one of the top travel baseball organizations in the United States and were quoted by Sports Illustrated as The best amateur baseball team ever assembled as 9 of the 12 players went on to play professional baseball. Some of the Blaster alumni include current and former MLB players such as Michael Cuddyer David Wright Mark Reynolds BJ Upton Justin Upton and Josh Rupe. What we do The Blaster organization prides itself on training over trophy hunting. While winning is always great the number one goal of our coaching staff is baseball longevity.
