π¨ URGENT: Sign the Petition to Oppose SB0240 & Protect Vulnerable Youth. π¨ Utahβs proposed SB0240 would weaken protections for children in residential programs under investigation for abuse, neglect, or even death. This bill would: β Allow unsafe programs to keep admitting children β Delay shutdowns by enabling endless appeals β Undo critical progress in protecting vulnerable youth This bill seems to be a direct response to the closure of Maple Lake Academy, a facility shut down due to ongoing safety concerns and the death of a child.
