Cruel Consequences Portraits of Misguided Law
We are a 501c3 nonprofit telling the stories of The Human Cost of Marijuana Prohibition across the US Cruel Consequences: Portraits of Misguided Law seeks to erode the stigma and the negative stereotyped images of marijuana criminalization through authentic portrait stories encouraging viewers to have genuine conversation, question assumptions, and engage communities and stakeholders to right the cruel and historic injustices. We focus beyond incarceration and fines to illustrate the less visible harms of marijuana criminalization resulting from non-violent marijuana charges that keep Americans from life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness like denial of employment, housing, voting rights, and child custody.
