To promote and protect the family unit, and its heritage and culture throughout the world, and to to make donations in its name for the public welfare, or for charitable, scientific, educational, religious or civic purposes. The association was formed in the United States as a nonprofit, nonpartisan, worldwide membership organization. The United States Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.) determined July 2, 2002 that donations to the World Family Association are exempt from U.S. federal income tax under section 501c3
