BLOCK PARTY!!! This year we are partnering with Harrisburg 1st Assembly of God and some other churches to put on a HUGE block party. This event will take place on Saturday July 19th at Camp Curtin Academy (2900 N. 6th St. Harrisburg PA). We are expecting over a THOUSAND people at this event. So, we need all the help we can get! We need volunteers for set up (8 - 11 am), the event (11 am - 2 pm) and clean up (2 pm - 4 pm). If the people who are coming for set up could meet at the Dream Center (2400 N. 6th St. In Harrisburg) at 8 am to help transport backpacks and other supplies that would be great! We are in need of people who can do face painting and animal balloons as well. So, if that's you please let us know! We are also doing our annual backpack & school supply giveaway at this event! We are also in need of the following donations: * Backpacks (Our goal is 750) * School supplies such as: Pencils, Erasers, Pencil Sharpeners, Three Ring Notebooks, Rulers, Glu, Glut Sticks, Markers, Lined Paper, Highlighters, Spiral Notebooks, Calculators, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Scissors, Pencil Pouches & Rulers. * $25 gift cards to Dollar General, Save a Lot, Giant & Walmart * Monetary donations. We will need several thousand dollars to put on this event. NEW OUTREACH!!! We are starting a new outreach twice a month in the south side of Harrisburg PA! We will be giving out snacks, drinks, Bible, offering to pray for people and sharing the gospel. Volunteers are needed! We could also use at least a few people that can help translate Spanish! This outreach will be two Thursdays a month from 12 noon to 2:30 pm. We will meet at the Dream Center (2400 N. 6th St. Harrisburg PA) and drive together to the south side of the city. The next four dates for this outreach are as follows: June 12th June 19th July 10th July 24th Please mark your calendars! We need all the help we can get.
