Disasters are common and volunteer-run emergency pet shelters need support. EASApp keeps data organized and allows volunteers to focus on pet care, not paperwork. EASApp: an easy-to-learn web/mobile operations platform for shelters when disaster strikes. DART (Disaster Animal Response Team) Command Central was created to help communities prepare for and manage temporary emergency pet shelters opened in response to a disaster. We educate volunteers about the challenges of managing an emergency pet shelter and promoting community education on the importance of pet preparedness. Recognizing the difficulties faced by volunteers in a chaotic environment, a team of professional developers created the Emergency Animal Shelter App (EASApp™). This simple and user friendly app works on any device with a current operating system including computers, tablets, and smart phones. EASApp™ assists communities by providing a system that streamlines emergency management of pet sheltering and volunteer workflow in the high-pressure setting of a disaster.
