INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY CHURCH INC

In 1982 six families from the American Church in London (now the “American International Church in London") wanted to start a mission church in Surrey, United Kingdom. It was named the American Community Church. To reflect changes in membership and to make all nationalities welcome, in 1988 the name was changed to the “International Community Church."The current makeup of the church is mostly North American and British. However, people from more than a dozen nations call ICC “home." The congregation has grown, despite the fact that 30% of our members are transferred every year. Many church denominations are also represented: Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Baptist, Catholic, Episcopalian, Southern Baptist, Bible Church, Assemblies of God, Disciples of Christ, Christian and Missionary Alliance, Church of England, Church of Christ, UCC and others.Perhaps because we have all come from so many different traditions, we are reminded to keep the main things the main things. We love Jesus, and believe what he said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We believe that the Bible is God's word, and gives us the truth we need for life. In focusing on our core beliefs, we enjoy a wonderful sense of unity. Reflecting our interdenominational nature, you will find a combination of traditional elements and values with contemporary expression.
