The Friends of the Natatorium advocates for the preservation and restoration of the Waikiki War Memorial Natatorium, the 1927 beaux arts 100-yard salt water swimming pool built as Hawaii's living memorial to the more than 10,000 Hawaii residents who served our nation's military in World War I.

The opening ceremony took place on 24 August 1927.
