On This Spot NYC is a nonprofit digital mapping project that brings the artistic legacy of a diverse group of New York women alive. On This Spot corrects gender and race imbalances in art and cultural history through a dual focus on mapping the sites where female artists worked and lived, and telling the stories of their lives and vital contributions through a series of free, short form documentary videos. Women artists have been sidelined in art history narratives for centuries. We put women artists on the map.
