It started when she was 14 . . . she survived . . . and life never quite regained it's brightness un To make suicide, especially teen suicide, a thing of the past. We believe if you are looking for signs, you are looking for trouble. We do not wait to talk to our kids about drugs until after they are in rehab. We do not wait to talk to our kids about alcohol until after they are arrested for drunk driving. We do not wait to talk to our kids about sex until after they are pregnant. We REFUSE to wait to discuss suicide until after there are "signs", because usually the first sign is an attempt and some do not survive. In this case, silence is not golden. It is deadly. We provide PURE prevention by breaking the silence around suicide. Through tools, community, abd training, we can create a "buffer" between a person and a ledge they may not be aware is there.
