Our friends at Sonoma State Historic Park just made an incredible discovery! While conducting a routine cleaning of General Vallejo’s Sonoma home, a vintage photo album containing six studio portraits of young Asian men was found. The photos appear to date from around the 1880s to 1920s. Just who were these young men? Could they have been employees of the Vallejo family? Boarders who once lived on the estate? Was this album used to document the identities of Chinese immigrants during the Chinese Exclusion Act era? Help unravel the mystery!
