Improving computer science education for underrepresented groups and providing curriculum resources for K-12 educators. When Doves Code is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve computer science education with an emphasis on serving girls and educators. We want to improve the quality and quantity of K-12 Computer Science educators so that our schools can address the equality and inequity challenges seen in the tech industry pipeline. It is our goal to increase the number of confident, credentialed Computer Science educators by combining the talents of educators and current or aspiring Computer Scientists.

When Doves Code – A K-12 Comp Sci Education Advocate – Professional Development, Mentoring, Curriculum Support Improving computer science education for K12 School Districts Who We Help K12 School Districts Providing Professional Development workshops and resources for improving the quality and availability of Computer Science education in our schools. Teachers Providing informal and formal experiences to help educators gain the professional development they need to begin adding computer science to their lesson plans. Our Top Initiatives Provide PD support and classes to train more K12 CS educators. Through our Tech Me With U pathways program we will give teachers the opportunity and resources to receive credentials or full degrees to become licensed Computer Science educators.
