Public feed for PNWSAR news and information. Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue, Inc. (PNWSAR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing search and rescue services in the Pacific Northwest. PNWSAR supports incident commanders free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year with skilled search and rescue volunteers. PNWSAR is an Oregon Health Authority licensed EMS provider, chartered to administer emergency aid incident to the search and rescue of persons in distress. PNWSAR has over 100 Oregon State Sheriffs' Association certified volunteers with extensive expertise in search and rescue and base support. In addition to ground search, PNWSAR fields Rope Support, Mountain Bike, ATV, Trail Running, Drone, Swiftwater, and Base Support teams. Our members donated over 12,000 training, service, and mission hours in 2019.

Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue Serving Oregons Region 2 and neighboring communities since 1993 Recent Notable Missions On February 23rd at least 10 search and rescue teams including PNWSAR in coordination with the Skamania County Sheriffs office successfully rescued three stranded hikers in extreme weather near Table Mountain. On January 26th PNWSAR and several other teams were called to assist with a missing hiker near Eliot Glacier. The hiker was found and recovered by the Hood River Sheriffs Office the Hood River Crag Rats and Portland Mountain Rescue. Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue PNWSAR is an allvolunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to providing search and rescue assistance for people who are lost or injured out of doors.
