Light of Hope Alliance
Giving hope to youth and their families in the greater Manassas area. The Light of Hope Alliance provides charitable, social, recreational, and educational activities whose purpose is to provide healthy and safe activities for children, to reduce or eliminate poverty, illiteracy, illness, homelessness, and their causes principally in the Greater Prince William County area and to promote the civil, social, economic, and educational well-being of that community. We provide after school mentoring and support for at-risk, low income youths in grades 5 through high school. During the school year our program operates from 2:30 to 6:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. During the summer we have the same hours but there are more field trips to both recreational and educational activities. We also work with the young people to prevent obesity and tobacco use.
