Kugatta is a registered 501c3 that works to preserve Ugandan families from being needlessly separated as well as to empower and reconnect adoptees and families that have been separated by intercountry adoption. Kugatta is a nonprofit (501c3) that exists to empower and bring together families who have been separated by Intercountry adoption. Most Ugandan families that reach out to us never understood adoption or what it meant, therefore have been searching for their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews for a very long time. Adoptees and adoptive families that contact us are often in search of answers because their histories were hidden from them within the adoption process. It is our mission to provide a safe, transparent and ethical process when searching for loved ones and re-establishing a connection. We work diligently to collect information, provide a platform for the vulnerable involved to be heard, as well as seek to ensure the needs and wishes of the adoptee are at the forefront.
