The Alpine Historical Society (AHS) is a non-profit organization established to encourage the preservation and utilization of the Sutton and Chickaloon historic resources as a cultural, economic and educational asset for the community. THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ENSURE THAT IT PRESERVES AND SHARES THE STORIES OF THE GENERATIONS OF SUTTON AND CHICKALOON, ALASKA, PAST TO PRESENT, THROUGH EDUCATION, ACTIVITIES AND EXHIBITS. COLLABORATING WITH OTHER ENTITIES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, IT WILL PROVIDE A GATHERING PLACE FOR COMMUNITY SOCIAL EVENTS AND A PLACE TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELLNESS OF BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT. THE ORGANZIATION WILL PROMOTE COMMERCE AND TOURISM THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS.
