The Superhero Project
Imagination, inclusion, representation and joy! Our artists turn deserving kids turned into heroes! Interested families & digital artists - email hello@shpkids.org to learn more! The Superhero Project empowers youth impacted by serious illnesses, disabilities and complex mental health and medical needs. We harness the power of the arts as a tool for healing by interviewing kids and teens about who they are beyond their diagnosis and how they want to make the world a better place. A global team of artists designs the superhero alter egos the children describe, creating a visual representation of their strength, courage and resilience. Families receive inspiring posters of their superheroes to treasure forever. Guided by our core values of imagination, inclusion, representation and joy, The Superhero Project recognizes the tremendous gifts and unique abilities that each child brings to the world.
