Working with the community to promote the health and well-being of people throughout Western North Carolina. WNC Bridge Foundation works to create a partnership for health throughout the 18 western-most Appalachian counties of North Carolina in the areas of wellness support, elder care and youth development. We work with nonprofits, health and human service agencies and units of government throughout the region to eliminate barriers that prevent any person from reaching their full potential.

After more than three decades of dedicated leadership in Western North Carolina, Scott Buchanan, President and CEO of WNC Bridge Foundation, has announced his retirement. His final day with the Foundation will be December 31, 2025. We are deeply grateful for Scott’s vision, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our region.
