Fifty-two years ago, we made a promise to love and cherish each other, and today, we stand as a testament to the power of enduring love. Although our physical appearance may have changed, our commitment to each other remains strong. We are in awe of the Lord's protection, provision, and guidance, which have been our constant companions throughout life's journey. From circumnavigating the globe to encountering people from diverse backgrounds, our experiences have been a rich tapestry of growth and learning. While we've faced our share of challenges, our faith has been a steady anchor, holding us fast through life's turbulent waters. We've also been blessed with moments of immense joy and celebration, leaving us in awe of the Lord's goodness. Through all of life's experiences, our promise to love, cherish, and honor each other has remained unwavering. I am deeply grateful for this enduring love. Happy Anniversary, my darling husband! As I work on my second book, I've come to understand that my identity is rooted in my attachments. Growing up without a caregiver's reflection, I struggled to find my true self, instead, facing shame and worthlessness. However, through my healing journey, I've learned to let go of those false narratives and embrace my true identity, as defined by God's unconditional love. The distorted self-image kept me hiding behind my false masks. The first step was being brave and transparent, stepping out of the isolation which felt like a sanctuary but in truth was a prison cell. Thank-you for your prayers! (fb)
