Homer Rope Tow – The Kachemak Ski Club owns and operates the Ohlson Mountain Rope Tow on Ohlson Mountain Road HOMER ROPE TOW For over 70 years the Kachemak Ski Club has been introducing children and adults of all ages in the Homer area to downhill skiing and snowboarding through instructional programs based at the Homer Rope Tow. Located 10 miles from downtown Homer the Rope Tow has been based at a site owned and maintained by the Club just off Mile 2. 5 Ohlson Mountain Road since the 1970s. We have 20 acres of terrain accessible from the 850 tow with 260 of vertical.
