The Birmingham Bar Foundation supports the philanthropic and educational efforts of the Birmingham Bar Association to better our community and promote justice. The Birmingham Bar Foundation is the charitable arm of the Birmingham Bar Association. Established in 1994 and converted to a 501c(3) in 2001, the Foundation functions to promote and support charitable work of the Association. TO SUPPORT, PROMOTE, AND ENCOURAGE ACTIVITIES FOR THE FURTHERANCE OF JUSTICE AND LEGAL EDUCATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE EDUCATION OF PRIMARY AND SECONDARY STUDENTS, AS WELL AS THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO PROMOTE A GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF THE LAW, THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF LEGAL RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS, INSTITUTES, AND FORUMS.
