Our mission is to train healthcare teams to empower people in remote Karen areas (of Myanmar) with health, hope and knowledge. Our vision is to see all people in remote Karen areas have access to high-quality healthcare. As a reflection of our Christian beliefs, we are committed to meeting the physical needs of people. We do this by providing culturally-sensitive, efficient and sustainable solutions to problems that require technical or medical skills and by mobilizing prayer and financial support.

Amputations are common here โ civilian men, women, and children run into Myanmar army land mines fairly often, as do soldiers. Our Surgical PA Zu Zae Nar did an excellent job on this amputation. As our PAs graduate and go to work in other areas, it'll get easier to follow up with these patients around Karen State.
