As part of this year’s Tar Heel Bus Tour, UNC faculty and staff visited Blue Ridge Health (BRH)—one of many valued partners in the Dentistry in Service to Community (DISC) Program at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. The Tar Heel Bus Tour visited and got a peek inside BRH's state-of-the-art dental buses. This mobile service helps bring needed dental care to even the most remote locations within their service areas. The tour highlighted how community-based organizations like BRH are leading the way in delivering integrated, person-centered care across Western North Carolina—and how partnerships with academic programs like ASOD through DISC, support that mission through service and education.
