Last Thursday we were delighted to host a fantastic online group of 170+ ukulele players from near and far: Canada, Germany, Brazil, the Philippines, New Zealand, and many states all across the U.S.! We played our warm-up and wrap-up songs, and Bob taught a tutorial on our Featured Song, John Denver's classic, "Take Me Home, Country Roads." And for a bit of music theory, Bob also continued his discussion on the Circle of Fifths. Thanks to all who joined us live for the fabulous feedback and valuable dialogue throughout! (fb)

At our May 8 meeting we had a blast learning to strum, pick, and sing Roy Orison's "You Got It!" Released just a month after his untimely passing in 1988, it was an instant hit, definitely the best kind of ear worm, and we were singing and strumming in no time! Huge thanks to all who came out and a big howdy to our many first-timers and out-of-town guests. Special gratitude to Aaron Lewis for keeping us on the beat with his U-bass! (fb)
