Our mission is to end the pollution of Lake Atitlan to benefit the health culture and economy of the people who live on its shore. BeautifulLake Atitlan is Polluted and Needs our Help Celebrated for its natural beauty and picturesque Maya villages Lake Atitlan in the western highlands of Guatemala is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is also the historic economic cultural and spiritual heart of the 300000 indigenous Kaqchikel and Tz39utujil Maya who depend on the lake for their livelihood and live in the mountainside communities around it. It has been their home for at least 1800 years.
